Too cute! I saw the first pic before I actually read any of the posts... and the first thing I thought was that it was some sort of kinky contraption. After reading the other posts, I can clearly see that my mind isn't the only one in the gutter... someone move over, the gutter is getting a bit cramped.
OhMyGanache, I think all of our minds are in the gutter.... only a few of us will actually admit it though!
Pepe is turning out awesome by the way!!!
Awesome job on Pepe! I love him! Thanks for the tip. I have used RKT and modeling chocolate seperately but will definitely have to give that a try.
Can't wait to see the final product!
Danielle
Yeah, it's true, we were all thinking the same thing when we saw that first shot! slopokesgirl, I only wish I actually had the time to even attempt to do what ou didi with Pepe- and he's not even finished!!!! He looks great!
Homemade Marshmallows
Use whisk attachment on mixer
1. Mix 4 packs of gelatin with 3/4c Water
2. Mix 2 2/3c Sugar
1 1/4c Light Corn
1/2c Water
3. Cook high heat til 240 Degrees F
4. Pour Hot Sugar into mixer w/gelatin (Have mixer on Low initially)
5. Mix 5-10 min until very thick on med-high
Option: Add 5 tsp flavoring
From this point I just add the Rice Krispies, no butter.
Or I transition immediately into fondant by adding 2 tsp glycerin to the marshmallow followed by 3lbs of powdered sugar using the dough hook.
Then I transfer the lump onto a greased and powdered table top to add the final powdered sugar till I get the right consistency.
Wrap in saran and set aside for a few hours or over night to set.
Modeling Chocolate
1. Melt 6lbs Candy Wafers till just about body temp. (NOT HOT!!)
2. Warm up 2c Corn Syrup till just about body temp. (NOT HOT!!)
3. Mix the two together till just combined.
4. Set in fridge wrapped in saran wrap till set.
I don't wait over night for it to set. It is ready pretty quickly.
He's still wet and shiny. But still darn cute.
He is AWESOME! What did you use to paint him with?
"Where are you my pigeon, I am looking for you" "Ah I have al last found you Cherie!"
He really looks great!

He is totally AMAZING. I'm trying to sculpt a simple Elmo out RKT (no chocolate) and he isn't looking very good. Would you mind sharing what you used to paint him with (espceially the white)? He looks like you justed pulled him out of a cartoon. What would you charge for something like this? You are an artitst!!!!!
Personally, I think it's rude to have that much talent. LMAO Daaaaamn. I am now your groupie.

Well, he's 2ft 4inches in length and 15 inches in height at the tail soooooo ... that would be an amazing thing if I could.... Now THAT would be a great topic to post on... whew... hahahahahaha.....
