I have a somewhat sill question about cake dummies. Can I just go to Michael's or A.C. Moore and buy regular styrofoam they sell, or is there a special styrofoam used in cake dummies that is better for decorating? Any info would be great! Thank you in advance icon_smile.gif

Most cake dummies are made from just regular old styrofoam. You can get it at the craft store and cut it yourself, but it is a big hassle and makes a big mess. It is well worth the $$ to buy them precut if you can. I get mine from www.taylorfoam.com.

I purchased a styrofoam cutter at the hardware store and make my own.

Thank you for the advice. I am just too impatient to wait for them to come in the mail. I want to go get one and start practicing right away icon_wink.gif
