I've never worked with fondant and I'm not sure how firm the cake should be so it doesn't sag. What type of cake do you use when making tiered fondant cakes? I am looking for a recipe other than chocolate cake. I prefer making it from scratch. Can someone share the type of cake they use or even better if someone would share their recipe (scratch). THANK YOU SO MUCH.
