What Would You Charge For This Cake?

It took me hours to complete, as you all know. I spent 2 hours doing the basketweave, one hour doing grass, not to mention baking it and torting, b/c smoothed coat, etc, etc.

I'm not an experienced cake seller but if I wanted a cake like this I would be willing to pay around $40 to $50 for it.

That looks to be a 10"x3" round. I suggest you price it by the servings - about $2.50 per - so about $100.

Depends what size...Kakeladi is right..price it per serving...I charge $3.00 per serving so if it is a double layer 8 inch I would charge at least $75.00.

I really like this design. I too would charge by the serving. How did you make the handle and get it to stand up like that?

I took about 3 pipe cleaners and braided them. You have to use 2 lengths of pipecleaners to do this. So unfortunately they meet in the middle. Just take your time and hide the ends in the braids. Good luck!
