I have searched on here and have looked through all of the books I have and I just can't seem to come up with the pattern for this cake!

I have seen them all over the place. It is a 2 tiered cake that is carved out to create a road that runs all around the cake. I would like to place regular cars on the road. Can anyone point me towards the directions? Thank you!

Do you mean a cake which looks like elipse or number eight with the race track on top of it?

Yep, that's the design...with the road swirling around it. Does anyone have a link to the directions? Thanks!

Well, the first one I can see easier:

Bake 2 round cakes for 2 tier, stack each tier separately. Freeze. Mark the position of smaller cake on the larger tier. Mark the track down. Carve.

I tried to make a picture for you. I hope it helps.

The difference between the 2 tiers has to be more than 2x the width of the race track.
