I was looking at different methods of icing and covering a cake on the Youtube site and I came across this video of making a doll cake. But what is interesting is the methos the lady uses in smoothing her cake. Here is the link to the video.

I wonder though it this would work on all types of frosting and if regular paper would work or you need to use a specific type of paper?

I used business cards in a similar manner... They're great for getting into tight spaces too.

very cool. she makes cake decorating look so easy. and she cuts her cakes so fast!
i really liked some of her techniques.
