I really love Indydebi's buttercream and am making a cake for tomorrow that will be mainly brown and black.

I imagine it would be best to start with a chocolate icing, but can't seem to find a chocolate variation of her icing. Is there one?

Thanks for the help icon_smile.gif

did one for neice's wedding.

made double batch of standard recipe.

melted 16 oz bag of Ghirardelli dark chocolate chips and blended them in.

needed to add more milk as it became very stiff.

Just as an alternative... I use Serious_Cakes recipe. You can find it in the recipe section. I cannot keep the stuff in the house... it's like crack in a bowl!! SOOOOO GOOD!!

SeriousCakes buttercream is THE BEST I've tried. It's creamy, smooth(not gritty AT ALL) and it's not disgustingly sweet like most butter creams. I HIGHLY recommend it if you haven't tried it. (be sure to use salted butter)

It's the ONLY one for me from now on.
