Hello.

I have tried several of the BC recipes listed here on CC....and, of course they all have their good and bad points, and it is really hard to decide white one to feature.

So far I really like the flavor of the Supreme Buttercream, not too sweet and kind of a whipped texture (warniing: grainy if you use the trans-fat free Crisco!)....my only problem is the color.

The recipe calls for white margarine/oleo which is of course so that it doesn't make the BC yellow - I have never been able to find anything other than plain old margarine and I've tried several brands to see if one is "whiter" than the other - no luck. I've even added the white food coloring to see if that will help.

Can anyone suggest substitutions or locations where to look for a whiter margarine?

TIA...

If you whip the heck out of your margarine it does bet whitericon_smile.gif Do that before adding any other ingredients. HTH
