I am new to WASC. (don't know what took me so long )
How dark should the top be when it is done? I use the recipe with the oil in it.
Cakes turned out fine, but when I tried to make cupcakes, it seemed overdone at the same color.
Should I be using a toothpick test for these? I usually just go by look & feel.
The cupakes for me always come out lighter for me anyway. Toothpick test them and they will be done faster than the cakes because they are smaller.
