I am making my first cupcake cake. I searched in the forums and the only thing I could find about adhering the cupcakes to the board was to use a dab of icing. Is this right? Is buttercream OK or should I make royal? I was going to do this tonight, but I've just completed 2 other cakes and it's already 11pm. I'm going to get some sleep and finish it tomorrow.

Any help, suggestions, experience will be soooo greatly appreciated!

I have made about 15 cupcakes cakes now. They seem to be in a higher demand now (ease of serving). I just use a dab of buttercream under the outside layer of cupcakes. I have never had a problem with them sliding. Good Luck!
