Anyone ever made a tie dye cake? I searched this site but found no results.

I've seen pictures of cut cakes with the interior of the cake being tie dyed.

Any input or photos would be appreciated!

Color your cake batter and pour it into the pans in blobs or layers.

You probably didn't get any results from your search because it can also be spelled "tye dye". Try that.

Here's one I did..(I also did the heart shaped rainbow listed in an earlier post) If the link doesn't work, the pic in in my photos.

All you do is divide your white batter into 6 bowls. Color each a different color using gel coloring. Plop the batters haphazzardly into the pan(s). Tap the pans on the counter a few times to level the batter if you need to. DO NOT stir, swirl or try to blend the colors--the oven will take care of that for you.

Have fun!
