Okay, folks, help me out here...I've never done this.
Does this work like making a buttercream transfer? Do you freeze the gel? Does the color come off on the cake to make the outline? What colors work best? icon_confused.gif

you tape your picture down .. you tape wax paper or tracing paper or parchment paper over the picture.. you use tip no 1 .. i color the piping gel... trace the picture.. gently take up the wax paper, lay gently on your cake.. take fine brush and gently trace over this piping gel. which is now laying on your cake.. then gently pull up wax paper.. you have a pattern now to use buttercream on to outline and fill in right on your cake.. you could also use thin buttercream to do the same procedure.. i teach this in couse 1 at michaels.. some of the students do the rainbow and cloud picture for their cake.. they do a very good job.
