Has anyone here used the willams sonoma build a bear cake pan? My friend wants it for her sons b-day party and I am worried about the kind of cake to use in it to make it sturdy enough to stand up. I have to transport it to the mall food court for the party so tips on how to make it travel safe would be great too!

I am not a scratch baker, I usually add things to mixes and it usually makes a really heavy cake. I am guessing that would be fine but I have no clue!

I haven't used that exact pan, but I have used other 3D pans and the best thing to use it a regular cake mix and a pound cake mix together. Traveling isn't too hard just make sure it rides flat so it won't tilt over.
