I'm having trouble coloring MMF lavender. I color it to the shade that I want and then if I leave it for a couple of hours in a baggie the color fades to the bottom. The top is blue and all of the color has went to the bottom. Also if I make any accents with it once it dries the color fades to blue as well. I need help with Easter coming up and lavender is a popular color.

What are you using to colour it with?

I got a nice lavender using the gel colours from Wilton. I had a whole batch of MMF that I died pink for my daughters castle and then I added a small bit of purple for the accents and got a nice lavender.

When using MMF, try coloring it with candy color rather than icing gel color. It turns out much more vibrant. See if that will help you.
