This Question Is For The East Coasters About Mardigras ....
Decorating By sparklynne Updated 3 Mar 2009 , 4:12am by sugarshack
I was asked by a local group to make king cakes.. the authentic recipe and the little baby inside the whole nine yards... I am from the west coast and am not all that familiar with the whole thing.. Does someone out there have a good recipe for this and could they please explain to me how to do these? I figured it was better to ask someone that may have done them before than to muddle my way through a recipe I found at random on the computer. Thank you in advance to any and all help
Sincerely,
Lynnette
I made a few last year and used the recipe from southern living, traditional king cake. I found it to be very much like a cinnamon roll.
I made it ring shaped and after it was baked but before putting the icing on it I stuffed the little baby into it.
