Help With Red

I am making a Thomas Cake and am having problems with colouring the fondant red. I know there are threads about this but my computer is acting weird and won't let me search. I don't have americolors available so can anyone tell me which wilton gels to combine to get a real red? I have to have this cake done today.

Start by using a base color like orange, dk pink or yellow. Then add any red you have. Keep kneading ...... if it gets sticky knead in some powdered sugar.

It helps to wear gloves so you can really load the color on. You have to use a LOT more color than you'd think. After you get the base color, I've found it helps to use a combo of reds....like the wilton no taste red, and also the wilton red-red. This helps cut down on the yucky taste.

To get a true deep red I used Wilton no-taste red AND Americolor Super Red.
