How Will I Get My Fondant To Stick?

This is probably a no-brainer, but I am new to fondant. I have been icing my cake and then immediately covering it with fondant. The kids went to bed and I thought I had the energy to stay awake and finish, but I was sadly mistaken. So my cakes are iced, but I will not be able to cover them until tomorrow. I really don't want to add another layer of icing. Do I use some piping gel? Water? Help!

Spray the cake down a little with a spray bottle and some water. This will give it the sticking power.

Thanks, that sounds way easier than brushing the whole thing with piping gel icon_smile.gif

I would probably try the spray bottle with water, sounds like a very good idea.
