O.K., I know I should know this for an absolute fact by now, but I'm putting on my "I MUST know!" hat.

Is it gum paste or fondant mixed with water/extracts/liquor? If so, ratios? Consistency? If not, what?

Thank you for your help!

Both. I mix fondant or gum paste and water 1:1, let it sit a bit, it dissolves and makes glue.
1/4 tsp. Gum Tex and 2 Tbsp. warm water. mix up as good as you can, it doesn't mix right away but if you let it sit for a couple of hours it dissolves and makes a very tacky glue.

I have also found that Tylose powder, (similar to gumtex but not the same) with the same ratio 1/4 tsp to 2 TBSP left to sit overnight in the fridge makes the best glue ever!! Learned it from a pro... thanks aine2!!!

Nic Lodge suggests when you empty a Tylose jar to fill it w/water; shake well and store in the frig. Works greaticon_smile.gif
