Can I substitute plain yogurt for sour cream in the WASC cake? Or in any recipe for that matter? Sometimes I am just out of an ingrediant and want to use whats on hand.

Thanks for any advice.

You can, but I will admit I like substituing vanilla yogurt rather than plain. Plain yogurt is kinda sour tasting to me, much more so than sour cream IMO. Try the vanilla, it wont hurt your recipe any by the added vanilla, and its much tastier.

Thank you ladies for the answers and the link.

I'll try the vanilla sometime. Now I'm thinking that using a flavored yogurt to match the flavor of the cake might work too...
