Can anyone help me with pricing this? It is for just the decorations-mom is making the cupcakes. I usually charge $5/animal, but I'm not sure really what to charge...This is what she wants:

1 farm with rooster on top for the top cake (as shown in barnyard cupcakes 5)
Mama chicken and three little chicks for top of cake (as shown in barnyard cupcakes 5)
1 standing pig and 1 pig bottom (with a heart on it) for top of cake
4 girl cows with red flower on head (as shown in barnyard cupcakes 2)
4 boy cows (as shown in barnyard cupcakes 2)
4 girl horses with yellow flower on head (as shown in barnyard cupcakes 1)
4 boy horses (as shown in barnyard cupcakes 2)
4 sheep (as shown in barnyard cupcakes 5)
2 standing pigs with heart on rear (as shown in barnyard cake top)
2 sitting pigs with flower on head (as shown in barnyard cupcakes 3)
2 pig bottoms (as shown in barnyard cupcakes 4 on the right side of the tower, second tier from bottom)
60 little flowers, some white with yellow center (see barnyard cupcakes 2) and some red (see flower on cows head in barnyard cupcakes 2) that we will use to place on the cupcakes with the animals and also on the top cake.
4 white circles with a red 2 on them (see the white circles with blue 1 in picture barnyard cupcakes 1)
One sign that says Ryans Farm as shown in barnyard cake top picture

Thank you guys!!!

so you aren't making the cupcakes right?

is it usually $5 for the animal? or $5 for the cupcake and animal?

Charge what you usually charge. If its $5 for both cupcake and animal subtract what you charge for just the cupcakes.

I doubt mom will like the cost, is she baking CC herself to save money or for health reasons? But I think you should charge what you usually charge....

I have no idea why she is doing it. I guess I don't know what to charge for all the different flowers, the name plaque, etc. Kind of weird.

Thanks for the help!

i think if you charge by the size of the animal...

i would normally charge $3 for the small animals... $0.50 for each flower, and may charge like $2 for the plaque...

1 farm with rooster on top for the top cake (as shown in barnyard cupcakes 5) i don't see this photo...
Mama chicken and three little chicks for top of cake (as shown in barnyard cupcakes 5) maybe $8
1 standing pig and 1 pig bottom (with a heart on it) for top of cake maybe $7
4 girl cows with red flower on head (as shown in barnyard cupcakes 2) $5 each so 20
4 boy cows (as shown in barnyard cupcakes 2) 20
4 girl horses with yellow flower on head (as shown in barnyard cupcakes 1) 20
4 boy horses (as shown in barnyard cupcakes 2) 20
4 sheep (as shown in barnyard cupcakes 5) 10
2 standing pigs with heart on rear (as shown in barnyard cake top) 10
2 sitting pigs with flower on head (as shown in barnyard cupcakes 3) 10
2 pig bottoms (as shown in barnyard cupcakes 4 on the right side of the tower, second tier from bottom) $4
60 little flowers, some white with yellow center (see barnyard cupcakes 2) and some red (see flower on cows head in barnyard cupcakes 2) that we will use to place on the cupcakes with the animals and also on the top cake. .15 cents per flower? r these just rolled out and stamped out?
4 white circles with a red 2 on them (see the white circles with blue 1 in picture barnyard cupcakes 1) $2 each so 8
One sign that says Ryans Farm as shown in barnyard cake top picture $3

I would say Total: $149 plus whatever this "barn with rooster on top" is so maybe $160-170 total?

So that's about 3 dozen items if you count the drop flowers as two items give or take. I like five or six dollars a piece. That's $180 to $216.

I think $225 sounds good.

That's a ton of custom work.
