I'm going to make or attempt to make my first 3D cake this weekend and I plan on using rice krispie treats to do some of the cake. Do I just use the recipe that I can find on line or is there something I need to do differently so I can carve it a little.

I haven't done it myself yet; but I believe I've read before that people crush the rice krispies a little so they won't be bumpy.
