I've just gotten Sugarshack's DVD and am going to be icing cakes today. My question regarding the stiff icing dam is can you tell that it's a different icing round the edge than in the middle? With all the ps you add to make it stiff, isn't it sickeningly sweet? Or is there so much icing that it would be hard to taste it? Just curious. Thanks.
Hi Angela, it doesn't make any difference. I always do like that and haven't had any problems.
Agreed with Bashini....you cannot tell any difference when you slice and eat.
No, you can't tell a difference...at least I haven't.
There's no difference in taste, just icing consistency. However if you are concerned about a too-sweet taste, add a pinch of popcorn salt. Works like a charm!
