I hate to ask this question because I know the info. is out there, but I just can't find it through a search.

What type of ribbon do you use on a buttercream cake?
Do you treat it somehow?

I'm going to use a good quality satin ribbon (with no wires) and cover the back by ironing it with wax paper. I hope this works.

For attaching I'm going to use RI to attach the ribbon in the back.
If that doesn't work I'll figure out something else.

I used to do the trick with irong wax paper on the back of the ribbon and it does work but, now I just let my b/c crust and then add my ribbon to the cake. Have not had a problem with it getting greasy at all. You just have to make sure the b/c is crusted.
