Hi! I'm doing my first fondant cake for a friends baby shower next month. I've only practiced with Wilton fondant but don't want to use that for the cake. I was looking at Choco-pan and Satin Ice. I was wondering what everyone uses. Is one easier to work with than the other? Thanks in advance!
I've never used Chocopan. I use the Satin Ice and absolutely LOVE the flavor. Seems pretty easy to use to me, but then again the only others that I have used are the Wilton (yuck!) and the MMF. I'm sure others here can tell you more about the Chocopan.
I have yet to try making my own fondant because Satin Ice is so yummy and great to work with. It's a little pricey compared to making your own, but worth it in my book.
I prefer ChocoPan for the taste. It costs a little more than Satin Ice. I used Satin Ice today for a display cake (wont' be eaten) it's very easy to work with.
