I want to make some sequins, pearls, and "diamonds" . I guess with the humidity, isomalt will be best for the jewels. I just can't figure the sequins. I saw a Dorthy red slipper shoe covered in sequins but they looked like small red dots. (Ace of Cakes episode) Any suggestions?

Hi there, here is tutorial on how to make edible pearls,

http://www.creativecelebrationcakes.co.uk/page36.htm

And I've have read few posts on making sequins with gelatine. But I don't know the method to do it. But I know they use a paper puncher to cut the circles.

Hope some one can give you a better idea on how to do those.

i saw that episode... fundraiser where they all made shoes! very cool. to me it looked more like mini fondant circles cut out, with perhaps a hole poked in the center, and then brushed with a sparkly dust.
