How do I attach fondant letters or numbers to the top of the cake so they are "standing"? I can't seem to find a picture, but I think there was one on here not to long ago that had 100 on it.

I have a 21st cake in april and would like to know how to do this too so i can make it the topper for the cake also how far in advance can this be made?

You can insert wires, spaghetti, toothpicks, bamboo skewers, etc into the letter before it dries and then stick it in the cake. I have yet to use wire, but from what I have read, you should not put wire directly into the cake...
