Is a tappet something to do with letters with fondant like a ruler and you tap it on the counter for your fondant letters to come out??? I will be purchasing letter cutters and was just curious to which was best? Thankssssssss icon_smile.gif

Yep, that's exactly what Tappits are, you got it! I'm about to order some myself. If you check out aine2 or tonedna's videos on youtube, they both demonstrate exactly how to use them successfully.

Try them and you will love them!!! They are so easy to use once you perfect it. The videos on youtube show step by step how to use them. Good luck!!

I too only just discovered tappits. I love them. I've attached a picture showing the first time I used them on some cupcakes I did.

Bluehue: There made by a company called FMM, I used the upper case letters. Since making 70 of those cupcakes in the picture I learnt that it's best to let the letters dry out abit before putting them onto the cakes, much easier.
