What do you think pairs best as a filling for a Raspberry Mocha cake? I was thinking raspberry filling, but I'm not sure. Is that dull?

I make this same cake sans-raspberry and use a coffee buttercream, and coat in ganache. BUT this version has me a bit stumped. Can you flavor ganache w/raspberry?

I would appreciate any ideas.

Thank you so much. icon_smile.gif

You could use a raspberry liquor to flavor the ganache.

I'd make either raspberry bc or raspberry "mousse" for the filling.

My whole kitchen smells so wonderful with the mingling aromas of raspberry and mocha. (and I don't eat cake... oh well).

Raspberry goes absolutely great with chocolate. I make a chocolate brownie cake with raspberry bc filling and it is to die for. A raspberry mocha cake with a ganache frosting or filling has to be grand.......by the way would you mind pm ing me with that cake recipe?
