I live in a small town, and I donated a cake for a cake auction to support our local woman's shelter and pregnancy support center. I found out on kind of short notice, and decided to try making a watering can - then found out they were looking for a Valentine's theme, so I kind of made it fit... I wasn't thrilled with my cake due to some technical difficulties I had, but it was OK. It was my "Butterfly Kisses" cake in my photos.

Well, the cake made $175 for the charity. There were more than 50 cakes, and mine was in the top 3 for donations earned! icon_biggrin.gif I am so happy, it really made my day to find that out!

JGMB: I made cocoa fudge cake with oreo cream filling. Plain old buttercream on the outside with fondant accents...

Chutzpah - I almost didn't recognize you in your "new clothes", LOL!
