Luster Dust Spray Can...how Long Do They Last???

I don't have an airbrush, and I know I won't be getting one anytime soon...however I did see on this website that some people use these luster dust spray cans...I just ordered a Pearl one and a Gold one, but I am wondering about how many cakes you can spray with it? I wanted to use it to add overall shine to my buttercream cakes.

I would sy you can get a light dust on a cake or two... They work well, but don't last as long as i would like..
