Is there a secret to shaping RKT? I tried it once and it didn't want to stick together. I had to smash it hard to get balls to make into apples. I don't know how to go about making it into arms and legs for a bear. I feel stupid for asking.........please have patience with a newbie!

try this link we had a discussion about this a couple of weeks ago and I did a photo demo.
You really need to squish it hard. I have only ever used the ready make shop bought ones so not sure what you are using or your recipe.
I cut the little figures arms and leg with scissors and then gently molded them into shape
