Help Sculpting A Hedgehog

Any suggestions on how to sculpt cute hedgehogs out of gumpaste? I'm making a birthday cake for two 4 year old girls and the invitaions have rolling hedgehogs on it. I'm wanting to sculpt 2 of them and place cute hats or a bow on their heads for a topper on the cake.

I was thinking about sculpting them upright instead of on all fours. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, using brown gumpaste, make a ball and then roll it out like a tear drop shape. You can use the pointed side as the face and the rest as the body. Have you seen aine2's video of making a christmas tree? In that she uses a curved pointy scissor to do the leaves. So you can use that techique to make the hedghogs body.
