I am making a ship's wheel cake, & planned to make the handles out of fondant, but that has been easier dreamed than executed. I made some chocolate Rhonda's MMF yesterday and tried playing with it a bit and I don't think it is gonna hold up well if I just try to mold them. I would appreciate any thoughts or ideas you might be able to offer.

if it is gonnabe flat on the cake board make the spindles using twinkies covered in fondant or carve cake pieces into the shape.

That sounds like a pretty good idea, or maybe hoho's (are those the small chocolate ones?). I would probably cover them with my fondant so they are an exact match, but it might work. thanks.
