This is my first whimsical cake, my first cake I'm being paid for, my first time using mmf. It seems to be buckling a bit but stable (just the fondant is buckling) and I'm not sure if there's anything I can do about that. Anyway, here is the napkin it was supposed to coordinate with and the cake:

I think that is pretty good for your first whimsical and first fondant Amber!! thumbs_up.gif

I love how you have the colors almost exactly as the napkin. Great job.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you charge for that?

I charged $75. I felt like it was a lot at first, but it took me a lot longer then I anticipated- I should have charged more.

Amberlicious,

I think you did a GREAT job. It's a beautiful rendition of the napkin.

By the way, could you recommend a great cake supply in Vegas?

Like you said, it was a lot of FIRSTS. . . so $75 isn't bad. If anything, think of it as a first time discount icon_smile.gif

Keep up the GREAT work!

really goes with the napkin.
Pretty courageous to do an order for a fondant cake if you never did one before!!
Does the person know you or was it word-of-mouth?
Did they flinch at the price?
I think it's nice.

Great colors. I want to try a whimsy cake but I am a little scared of them. Maybe I'll have a chance to do one before long.

I wish I could. I've just been going to Michaels because it's close. I need to figure out some better places though.

Thanks for all the complinets guys! She didn't even pause when I said $75. I probably could have charged her more.
