I am making a groom's cake for my nephew this weekend. He wants red velvet and I will use BC frosting. I plan on stacking four (approx. 5x10) layers for the PC tower. If I stack two then add a cake board with dowel supports through the bottom two layers and a long dowel down through the center of all layers, should that hold it fairly well? I need to travel about 45 miles with it and would rather have it all together when I get there. I hope I have explained this well enough. Any other suggestions are appreciated. BTW...the keyboard and monitor will be seperate so I think no problem with them.
