I am making another baby shower cake but my design that I had in mind is square. However, I would really like to make a checkerboard pattern on the inside as I really like this design and other people seem to think it's pretty special.

Can I use my Wilton plastic checkerboard divider (that is usually used with the 9 inch pans that it comes with) with a 9 inch square pan? Will the checkerboard pattern still turn out?

Thanks!

It will be the same except the outer edge will be square with a round middle. I don't think you'll hardly even notice when cutting. (I mean notice the difference. yes it will work)
