I'm making a backpack cake starting from 4 9x13's . I need ideas about how to start constructing the whole thing!

Any thoughts on the best way to carve?

Are there any threads that you think from handbags or totebags that could be helpful?

ANy ideas about carving and or covering would be MOST appreciated.

I have "decorator freeze" ! I'm so afraid to start that I don't know how to begin! HELP!

Don't worry, you'll be okay!

You can start here:
Although I know it's a diaper bag cake tutorial, if you think about it, you're not making much different except in height.

You can refer to the tutorial for help in covering the backpack in fondant and for adding internal supports, although because your cake is taller, you'll need more supports than I put in the diaper bag.
