No need to shout, we can hear you just fine! icon_wink.gif

Lots of flavors go well with chocolate. Here are some just off the top of my head:

chocolate (more chocolate is always a good thing! icon_biggrin.gif )
dark chocolate
white chocolate
raspberry
strawberry
peanut butter
mint
caramel
orange
coffee/espresso
mocha
cheesecake
praline (caramel & chopped pecans)
vanilla
cinnamon

As for yellow cake, lots of people call it by different names, some call it yellow, others call it vanilla, and some call it butter. The flavor of a yellow cake is basically of butter and vanilla, so it goes well with pretty much everything!

So, in addition to the flavors listed above:
banana
lemon
pineapple
coconut
blueberry
(basically, any fruit you can think of!)

HTH!

One of my favorites is cookies & cream, which I make by stirring Oreo cookie crumbs in to whip frosting. Also, mint flavored buttercream with chopped Andes mints or Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies if you're really feeling like a yummy treat.

I love to stir homemade strawberry freezer jam into my buttercream ---- mmmmm, I'll be doing that this week for my Valentine cupcakes.

You know... I hadn't had a yellow cake in probably 10 years and then in November had a bride who wanted yellow, and I totally had forgotten how yummy yellow cake was! (shoot... just gave myself away with nibbling the cake scraps!!!) Grin...

I like bettercreme with some homeade raspberry freezer jam added in chocolate cake.... either that or the bettercreme turned into orange bettercreme! Okay.. I just like bettercreme no matter what you do with it! But yes... I like the lighter fruity fillings in chocolate cake!

How could I forget about that??? I've never actually eaten it, but I'm a fiend for Reese's PB cups so that would rock my socks!

I've yet to try making it since my kiddo is PB-sensitive and I'd hate to deny her mama's tasty creation. icon_sad.gif

Speaking of yellow cake, I too have recently rediscovered how great it really is to have those little yolks. Egg whites-only cake seems so dry in comparison!

Cookies and Cream is great. I like raspberry filling for chocolate cake or yellow cake. Pineapple filling in a yellow cake sounds good right now. Drool. thumbs_up.gif
