How do I make cakes using an ice cream cone? I want to make these this week for Valentines Day Fundraiser. Also what is the shelf life can I have them baked on Wed - Decorated on Thurs - deliver Friday morning?

Do you mean the cupcakes baked in the cake cones? As far as I know, you stand the cake cones up on a cookie sheet, and fill them 2/3 full and back like regular cupcakes. I'd expect them to last at least 5 days if stored in an airtight container. The cone's likely to go stale before the cupcake part does, but the moisture from the cake and icing would hopefully help.

I have not had success with these lasting more than a day. The cone absorbs the moisture and caves in and looks funky. I had them in an airtight container.

From my experience, you need to serve them same day. Maybe someone has had better luck.
