I am looking for some tips for making a shotgun cake. My father-in-law kept joking when i made the fishing and the book cakes that when it was his birthday he wanted a shotgun cake. Well, now his b-day is coming up and my mother-in-law and i are schemeing on how to make this happen. I looked up some of the pictures on here and got some ideas but i'd love any tips or things you've learned not to do on this type of cake.

(ps. he's a big hunter that's why he wants a shotgun)

Would using a transfer method work or do you want a sculpted cake?
