Defrost A Frozen Cake?

Do I thaw the cake wrapped or unwrapped? Thanks!

I always leave the cake wrapped while thawing.

An uniced cake can be thawed while still wrapped (this will help it retain moisture).

An iced cake should always be thawed unwrapped.
