I have a cake for the day before Valentine's Day. The design is for a two tier and that is going to be way too much cake. So I decided to still do two tiers but make the top tier a dummy....do you all separate the cake from the dummy with cardboard? Or how do you keep the dummy from touching the cake...I am sorry this is a dumb question but I do not know and you all do such wonderful work and I know you will have the answer! Thanks!

Oh, that's not semi dumb. It's full out dumb! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

I'm just teasing you, you know that.....right?

Really, I would treat the dummy like it's a cake. Support it with whatever you'd do if it was a cake. Separator plate, foamcore, cardboard.

Good luck and post pics!
