Does anyone out there have any suggestions on how I can get buttercream to stick to the little miniature heart cakes? They are about the size of a cupcake, but for the life of me I cannot get the frosting to stick for even a crumb coat!! icon_cry.gif After fighting with them for a while I thought, hey, why not ask the cake community for help? Save myself a bit of sanity (I have so little left to spare)

Has anyone else had this problem frosting the mini heart cakes? Any suggestions? Pretty please, with powdered sugar on top? Thank you!!!!

Little things are really hard for me, too. I have an easier time with a slightly thinned consistency icing. Maybe you can try a poured icing - there are several recipes here in the recipe section.

That's a good idea to try ibmoser. Would the thinned pour icing work as a crumb coat as well? It's quite frustrating.
