I was planing on making chocolate wasc tonight, but I only have 5 eggs instead of 6

Anyone know what I can use to replace the missing egg?

I have eggwhites, do yu think it will be ok if I use 5 eggs and 1 eggwhite ?

Hi, I've made once a cake that has no eggs, but it had viniger instead, so maybe if u add1 Tspn of vinegar instead ur 1 egg this will still work!

Hmm, good question. 1/4 cup of applesauce is a choice. Since you are only missing one egg. Hope that helps.

5 whole eggs and 1 white should be sufficient especially if the eggs are large. The vinegar recipe is a very specific one and will not work as a general substitute for egg.

That happened to me recently...I used meringue powder for the rest of the eggs I needed. The cake came out just fine.

I have nightmares about doing something like that. I made a cake last night and couldn't quite remember if I put the oil in. I checked the measuring cup and it had oil residue so I guess I did.
