I made this cake for a friend so I never priced it out properly - I've had 3 requests for the same cake and I don't know what to charge!!!! HELP

The cake is vanilla 3 layers filled with ganace covered in buttercream and fondant the finished size was about 6 1/2" X 11" and I think 3-4" high. I'm completely at a loss for price.

Thanks icon_smile.gif [/img]

If I were doing it (and I can't paint, so I couldn't) it would be $3.65 per serving.

I wouldn't go less than $4 a serving, that is if you enjoy doing this cake. If it's a huge hassle and time-consuming, i'd go up to $5 a serving.

I guess it depends on how much you like doing this cake, lol...

I don't know about the price, but that is a great cake.

It's technically 1/2 of an 8x10 (so about 20 servings) @ $5/serv that's $100. Does that seem reasonable?

I'm in Texas and can't sell my cakes, so I can't help you with the pricing, but I did want to compliment you on this cake. It is fantastic! You said you filled it with ganache ... did you make a regular ganache and whip it up? I cover a lot of my chocolate cakes with bittersweet ganache and often would love that dark chocolate for the filling too.

Thanks and again - great job on this cake!
