I have a small cookie business and am working on expanding it...I want to make displays of various designs of cookies and place them on nice trays/platters, not cheap plastic. Does anyone have ideas and advice on how to find these items...it was the same obstacle when considering cookie bouquets. I can't just buy pots and platters in a gift shop - too expensive. But, being new in the business I have no idea how to find resources and/or whole salers of ceramics, etc. One acquaintance mentioned trade shows, but I don't have a tax id yet and am not really up to that point yet. I have to have the business first before I can afford to go really commercial. Any ideas?

I don't know if you have the time.....but what about checking out local Salvation Army stores, or something along those lines. Alot of times people just donate stuff they don't use anymore. They usually have a home section in those stores. And you can get the stuff for a few bucks each.
