Can any one help me on how to construct a 3d thomas the train cake?

Some one left a link on another thread but the link really didnt seem to help me.

anyone who has previously done this cake, can you please send me instructions asap! i would really appreciate it.

Debbie Brown has the instructions in her book "Favourite Character Cakes"...
if you want more detail than what was provided in that link, her book would be the way to go...

I did a Thomas for my son's birthday. It was my first attempt, but I think it turned out pretty well. All I did was use a Sheet Cake Pan and then I cut it in fourths. (in half and then those halves in half again). Then I stacked them all together and carved out the shape I wanted. I then covered in buttercream and then fondant. I used rice krispies for the wheels, covered in fondant. I hope this helps.

I have done Thomas cakes twice now & both times I used the Wilton 3-D ChooChoo pan & iced it to resemble Thomas. I also baked cakes in loaf pans for "cargo cars" & added lots of candy & stuff for "cargo"
