Has anyone ever made a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream but used white vanilla fondant? I am doing a carved cake and I need to use white fondant to cover it but I was worried the brown might show through. Didn't want to discover this when I made the cake!!!
I did one and as long as you don't tear it, it did ok. Very delicately though!
Yes, I have done one, and it was fine. But my chocolate bc was a medium brown, not dark brown. I don't know if that would make a difference or not. HTH
