Can I cover a semi-frozen (still thawing) cake with fondant? This is a sculpted cake about 8 inches high and 7 inches wide that has already been torted, filled, and crumb coated with BC. I have had it in the freezer for 1-1/2 days and took it out about 90 minutes ago. I need to get this sucker covered in fondant, but I don't know if it's still thawing if that will wreak havoc on my fondant. Any ideas?

I have heard that chilling a cake before putting fondant on is a good idea because fondant is heavy. So I would say as long as the cake is chilled....not hard frozen you should be fine. I hope I saw this post in time to help you out. icon_smile.gif
