I am making my first stacked cake for this weekend. I've never done this before so any advice would be so helpful icon_wink.gif I'm planning on stacking 2 cakes and not quite sure what sizes they should be. I'm going out to buy the pans tonight. Also, what heights should they be. I really like this size and height of boween's baby shower cake...

If you can guess on what this is I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks so much!!

Looks to me like it may be a 6" & 9" pan, possibly a 10" though it doesn't seem like there's enough "lip" to be a 10".

As for height - I'm guessing she just baked (2) 6" Rounds & (2) 9" rounds. With fillings & icing mine are usually about 4.5" - 5" high. Good Luck!

To me that cake looks like a 6" and a 9" stacked. They look about 4" tall. Did you try to pm boween who posted the photo? She would know for sure icon_smile.gif

When I made that cake, I made 10" and 6" pans. That fed around 25-30
people with a little left.

Good Idea! I'm such a nerd sometimes! Do you think a 6" and 9" will feed 40 people??

I use the Wilton Chart - If you go by that a 6" & 9" would serve 44...If you want more servings than that then I would go with the 6" & 10" - it would serve 50....
